Running from the 25 to the 28 of April, the show in Palma’s Moll Vell, inaugurates the Mediterranean nautical season.

The Palma International Boat Show has established itself as one of the essential fairs at the start of the nautical season. This is borne out by the participation figures of recent editions. In 2023, the fair had 271 participating companies and some 600 boats on display, more than 250 at sea, spread over an 81,000-square-metre exhibition site. It was also the setting for the presentation of new boat models and products on a global scale, as well as becoming the nerve centre of the sector for four days.

Each year, the Monaco Yacht Show curates the exhibition of 125 extraordinary one-off superyachts built by the world’s most respected shipyards and welcomes 580 leading companies from the yachting industry.

In September, the yachting industry turns its focus exclusively to the Monaco Yacht Show where 45 new launches are annually unveiled in a worldwide debut. The show first began in 1991, focussing on superyachts over 20 meters (at this time a 47-meter would have put you in the Top 100 yacht owners worldwide). Since then the show has gone from strength to strength, becoming the key event in the superyacht industry with the 2016 show attracting over 33,000 visitors and 125 yachts in Port Hercules.

Cala d’Or

Cala d’Or with its three neighbouring coves exudes a cosmopolitan and peaceful atmosphere of great Mediterranean beauty. Its turquoise blue water and impressive views are specially adapted for a perfect family day out.

Cala Formentor

If you want stunning scenery, Formentor is the ideal place. The cliffs around it have many inviting pathways that lead off into the surrounding countryside. Indeed, the hiking and birdwatching in this area is second to none, the wild and surf-battered cape remains almost entirely pristine.

Named after the Latin, Santi Agnini, this beach was a preferred spot by pirates for continuous sieges and raids throughout history. Santanyi beach is exquisite and is 80m long and 130m wide, it’s a haven of tranquillity, particularly spectacular at sunset, making it a very special place to visit.

Access is easy, there is parking and other services like restaurants, shops, a diving club and deck chairs for rent.
